I've had a few weird things happen with ROM Manager and Clockwork Recovery, but I've never bricked my phone. The Droid seems resistant to bricking, in my experience. Just make sure to back up your current ROM every time you make a change. Nandroid is your friend! :-) Craig,

This being my first attempt at installing a rom, not knowing what at all to expect. Thanks so very much for pointing out the Clockwork issue.
